I was just looking on VetUK for some cystease capsules for the girls, but they no longer seem to stock the hundred capsule pots.
The do however have another capsule advertised, with the same active ingredient 'N-acetyl glucosamine 125mg'

This is the ingredient list:
Each capsule contains 125mg of N-Acetyle D Glucosamine which is the key component in the lining on the inside of the bladder.
Ingredients:
White rice powder, N-Acetyle D Gucosamine (99%), Capsules (Gelatin, Titanium Dioxide), Magnesium Stearate, Silicon Dioxide.

I don't know if this would be an alternative as I can't find the full ingredients list of cystease ( including the excipients as listed on this one)

Does any one have any ideas ?
Thanks

On the reviews section people have mentioned that it has the same ingredients as Cystease. Sorry I can't be of more help!

I give my Jerry Cystaid. I was under the impression it was an alternative, but perhaps someone else could confirm?

Thanks, I saw that aswell.
Really though it is the excipients I wasn't sure about. I know they are commonly used in the manufacturing process of tablets and capsules- to prevent the powder sticking in the manufacturing processes ( the uses of being a pharmacy student) but just wasn't sure if they were suitable for the piggies, as I can't find a complete ingredients list to compare it to.

Yeah, I was under the impression it was an alternative as well, when I have looked at it previously it has always been much more expensive than the cystease. I just saw these capsules and thought thats not a bad price if they were suitable.

Ah, I see! Hmm, afraid I can't help you with that one. Hope someone a bit more knowledegable comes along!

I have had cystaid for one of my sows from our vet when she was having bladder issues, they came as a capsule that the vet advised splittng and giving half of each day for 10 days, longer if needed.
