Cystease Dosage Ok?

Emma has been taking feliway cystease tablets since October 2015 for Interstitial Cystitis. She started on half a capsule daily but during a particularly bad flare and after seeking advise from my vet, I increased it to 1 full capsule daily. Each capsule is 125mg.

I have noticed that most people only give half a capsule but as Emma still has squeaky episodes, I am terrified of cutting her down to half.

Am I ok to carry on just giving her a full capsule daily? Will it do her any harm?

I think it would be fine. I use vegan glucosamine instead and give 250mg a day which is double that. You can always let your vet know what you plan to do. If it keeps her comfortable needs must.

Thank you. I think I will just stick to one capsule daily then especially as she is currently going through an episode

I've used a capsule a day for years with one of my piggies and it works well. Shouldn't pose any problem
