Cystease for boars?

Is cystease only for lady piggies? Was seeing occasional pink urine, vet found high calcium in one of the girl's wee, have followed all of Wiebke's calcium cutting advice. There's only been one incident of blood in wee in past couple of months. I plan to start using cystease to cover all angles and not sure whether to give to the boy too. He's been de-balled.

My vet prescribed it for my boar who has just had stone surgery, so yes boars can have it too!

Ps what dose did vet prescribe? My boar is massive. 1600g I think.

I capsule mixed with water and syringed 1 x daily. You really need to speak to your vet about this before dosing your piggies. My vet prescribed MI pet catease but once she decided it was to be a long term thing she agreed to me buying it on line which is half the price she can let me have it for. Your boar is certainly a large one! Usually with cystease they prescribe l capsule a day to start with and then it goes down to a maintenance dose of half after a while, we haven't got that far yet, to be discussed at next check up in Jan/Feb.
