Hi

Does anyone have any experience of using Cystophan? Athy has been taking Cystease which we've just been buying, but we saw a different vet than usual yesterday who recommended Cystophan - I'm a bit worried by the 'artificial chicken flavour' though!

Is there any difference other than brand?

Thanks xx

i've heard it mentioned quite alot on here so it is definitely used. cannot remember who it was but someone said their (very experienced) vet prefers to use it over cystease but i think they said injected.

never heard the artificial chicken being mentioned though so maybe there are different types. hopefully someone will have more info.

our vets use cerenia in place of cystease though so that could be another option to look into if it's for bladder inflammation :)

I always thought they were pretty similar and have used both. Most recently Amy was on Cystophan but only for a short period as we were already giving her Vegan Glucosamine which keeps her comfortable most of the time with only the odd flare.
