So I've had my 2 boars Barnaby and Percy for almost 4 weeks so we're still in the getting to know each other stage. In the past week Percy has started to feel confident enough to announce his 'I want food' squeak. :)) At first it was like he lost his squeak I mean voice but he has built the volume up slowly but surely haha. Barnaby, well still waiting on his squeak, maybe he leaving the work to Percy to get the food in. They have a 140 ferplast cage. They have 2 houses but like to share one together still. Awwww :wub: :hug:So they have a entrance door to the their house like all and yet Percy likes to be different and squeezes himself under the house coming out rather then go through the door lol. He squeezes himself back under it to when going back in. Since he is still growing and the house is quiet attached to the cage so can't lift fully up I'm not sure how long he thinks he can keep it up. I will come home one day to find him stuck :DSometimes we just see his nose pop out when having a sniff for any possible veg.
What daft things does your guinea pigs do that make you laugh?
 
Lol that's hilarious. There will be plenty more laughs to come i'm sure.
Both my piggies have got themselves trapped inside their pigloo with the entrance stuck against the plastic cage wall from their constant moving the pigloo's around to better suit themselves, the dominant pig Coco was able to shove the pigloo out of the way with the side of her huge bottom to save a panicked and squealing Patchy but Patchy was not quite big enough (she's just a little girl) to save a panicked and squealing Coco (poor Patchy was squealing and panicked too) so I had to set her free and get the stink eye like I was the one who trapped her inside it. I sort of found it quite amazing that they automatically went to each others aid and just tried so hard to set the other free.
 
Blitzen was using Comet's back for a table last night. Mind you, he also smacked Comet on the head a few times with the pepper slice trying to get it there in the first place.

Comet also just sat there and let him do it. Brains of Britain, these two are not.
 
Also, after Comet's theatrics at the vet today, I wanted to make sure that he was still eating, but he ignored everything I put down in the cage.

I suspected he was just sulking so I picked him up, and it's surprising how hungry he suddenly was when blueberries were involved.

Redribbon.. Next time get a photo haha. I have visions of a guinea pig running around its cage with a look roll stuck on its head haha.
 
Podrick isn't a very clever pig. Jon Snow can jump up steps so we've been trying to teach Pod how to do it. He just looks astonished when Jon jumps up and leaves him behind. "Wow, he disappeared".

They both stand up at the side of the cage and ask for 'sweets'. However, Pod sometimes forgets how to stand up and just stands and paws at the side of the cage with one foot like a dog. Sometimes he tries to stand up but his feet slide on the correx and he bumps his nose.

Jon HATES hugs, especially with my boyfriend. He will do anything to escape. He's taken to pushing him away using his head to get past. I have a fantastic but blurry photo of Jon head butting him.

The daftest pig we had was Toki Wartooth. Every day he used to stand up at the bars of the cage wanting his food. Problem was he alwayd stood at the back, looking directly at the wall two inches in front of him. Not a clever boy.

We should introduce Podrick and Comet, especially after he got overexcited and tried to jump over the arm of the sofa last week. They could compare notes!

@Jade Lake they definitely have their moments. I was handing Comet a piece of carrot earlier when Blitzen (who doesn't do the hand feeding thing) ran up, swiped the carrot, and without pausing ran for cover under the nearest carrot cottage. Comet just sat there, confused about his missing dinner. :))

My to have competitions to see who can squeal the loudest when it's breakfast time
Also they will try and block the other one from getting at the nice yummy food if they want more or they feel that they deserve it more than the other one does
