I need to ask a stupid question.... How do you get more than one pig at a time out for lap time? My 2 take it turns because I wouldn't be able the catch the second one whilst holding the first. I wouldn't feel safe leaving one on the sofa whilst I get the other one. I'm having a mental blank about how you would manage it! I feel like I'm missing something obvious.

I have three and need my OH to be with me to help make sure no one wanders off (Chewie) or throws themselves off the sofa (here's lookin at you BB) or to put them quickly away when I get bitten for trying to prevent the aforementioned. Rey is a darling and just sits there grooming herself. Needless to say I don't do it often. I don't think they benefit from it and I find it quite stressful! Hoping they get better as they get older

I also have their carry box with me to put them in/ taken them out of, so no hair raising dashes to cage and back !

*edit* there are no stupid questions!

I use their fleece snuggle sacks to get them out and since I only have two piggies I carry them in their sacks, one in each hand. They feel safer and I feel more comfortable that I'm not going to drop them. Both are not big lap time fans anyway.

I use the pet carrier to to take them in and out their cage, I put it into the cage and Spike walks straight into it, Peanut takes some persuading. My OCD pig has a little routine, I put in the carrier Spike jumps in, Peanut goes up the ramp to the loft, I touch his back he starts to walk down the ramp and stops, I pat his bum he walks again, after three stops and pats he goes into the carrier.:doh::hug:
I can only do double lap time if OH is here because Spike spends all his time trying to jump off the sofa so we have to have one each.

Mine are too scared to move atm so having two at once is no problem. I do have a strawberry hide for them, which they stay in unless I take them out. Mistletoe is being a tad shy in the second pic;

i have mine out one at a time using fleece blanket for them to sit on,and cardboard tunnels to get them from the cage.i sit mine on the arm of the chair,and sit next to them,i find over time they teach themselves to stay in the one place which helps if i need to trim nails,hair,or syringe feed at anytime !
