R Dorothy
Junior Guinea Pig
Last night, as I was going to bed, I noticed my guinea pig Iris jerking around oddly. I panicked and was worried it was a seizure or something else terrible, so I ran to the cage.
I crouched down to open it when her sister, Dahlia, sniffed her face and then pulled out a piece of carrot from Iris’s mouth that I think may have gotten stuck in her teeth.
I thought this was just Dahlia being greedy, and not intentionally helpful, but she actually dropped that little bit of carrot and continued to inspect her sister’s face, as if making sure nothing else was wrong.
I’m really glad Dahlia was there because I doubt Iris would’ve let me help as easily as her sister.
