It depends on how serious it is; misjusdged swipes happen all the time. You get that in sows, too. They do not constitute a fight. The boys' behaviour will tell you whether it was serious or not.
We had something similar with two boars at our rescue, Gizmo was so persistent with his humping Jakob lashed out (which was very unusual for him!) and caught Gizmo’s lower eyelid with a nail. Some Isathal drops soon cleared it up but definitely worth a vet check in case it’s infected
Good luck!
This morning Willis wouldn’t leave phyliss alone kept bumping him and chasing him and cornering him, phyliss was crying out and you could tell he didn’t like it, i think I’ll split them up for today especially with phyliss having to come to the vets and put them back together tomorrow and see how they get on
Hi guys just seen the vet he has an ulcer on his eye and has been prescribed metacam and eye drops for the next 5 days and then has to be re seen by the vet, he’s lost a bit of weight and has nibbles in his ears, I have seperated their c&c cage with dividers down the middle so they can still see each other and interact, Willis has calmed down but I think it’s best for today that they’re away from each other and maybe tomorrow they can have floor time together and see if they’re is a possibility they can still live together but I’m not holding my hopes to high
