Dandelion and green oats

A friend of mine bought a pack of dandelion & green oat from wilkos. I’m not a fan of manufactured guinea pig treats and wonder whether it’s ok to give tiny amounts of this to my boys. If so would this count as part of their veg portion? I would appreciate your comments

It sounds like a forage mix. If that is so, then it is absolutely fine to give to them as long as they are the only ingredients and if isn’t containing hidden sugars/seeds etc. I (and a lot of other members) buy such forage items from piggie parcels (a company run by a member of this forum) and use it as an enrichment exercise - hide it amongst hay etc and they spent ages being kept entertained in finding it!
