Dandelion Leaves

I have heard that dandelion leaves can make guinea pigs ill. Has any one else had this problem or are they OK?
 
Dandelion leaves are a diuretic so shouldn't be given all the time. As long as you are careful where you pick them, they should be fine. Always wash well and avoid picking from the roadside etc or where dogs are likely to have fouled :)
 
I give once a week as part of a green veggie. My garden is full of them! :)
 
Mine love dandelion leaves ... but apparently should be given in moderation.

As lavenderjade said, always wash if picked in fields and never pick by the roadside because of fouling by dogs and pollution.
 
My pig loves them and my other guinea pig i had but died couldn't get enough of them but we try to give them some only occasionally.
