Last year I tried, once successfully & once not. The first lot dried great & I fed them to my piggies in January but something went wrong with the 2nd lot. Both times I used a square of kitchen roll then a layer of dandelions & continued till I had about 20 layers. I think the second lot must have been too wet & went mouldy. I'm going to try a different method this year by putting a thread through them & hang a bunch from the conservatory roof.
Sometimes I bake herbs in an oven on a low temp which dries them out. I bet you could dry them in the sun too. Check what's recommended for herb drying.
Well I didn't know you could do all that with dandelions. You could have a dandelion fritter washed down by dandelion tea or dandelion coffee and it would be healthy.
Blimey. I dry my garden herbs but had never even thought of this. My garden is bare already. Bring on some more sunshine. I certainly wouldn't eat the leaves knowing how much my girls love them
That's strange. Mine are the other way round. But then I've always stuck to leaves as I thought the flowers and stems were to be avoided. Must have read it somewhere in the past but no idea where
