Dandelions!

Ive heard g.pigs really like dandelion leaves... where can you buy these from, as I live in a flat and therefore have no garden to pick them from |)

Is there a nearby field or football patch? Try having a wonder around to pick some up if you can't buy them

Never bought actual leaves (best go to the country where its clean but still wash leaves from potential chemicals etc.) but my pig loves dandelion cigarelles from pets at home. about £2 for four cigarelles. They are dried leaves and grass wrapped in yellow paper - they dont always eat the paper but nonetheless a great treat

but if you do pick them ,please wash them in clean water, and avoid dog walking areas, as dog wee and poo contamination could make your pigs ill, also road side, because of pollution, we go over fields, and pick from there, but still always wash them x

You can get dried dandelion leaves - I think one make is called naturals. Mine go crazy for this,

grow some of the seeds in a flower pot on a window sill, ever so easy to do

We are in the middle of winter so as a treat once in awhile I will buy my girls organic dandelions from the health food store. They are kind of expensive but because they are high in calcium they only get a few mixed in with their daily greens and so they last a few days in the fridge.
