Hi, sorry to hijack your thread, but I was looking out at my dandelion filled garden, and then at my bag of dried dandelions from a shop and was wondering how I could do it myself. A quick google seemed to only focus on making tea with them, anyone ideas how to dry them out for the guineas? Is it just a case of cutting them and leaving them in the sun? Thank you for any ideas anyone!
why anyone would buy them? when they only have to go for a walk and collect them for free. You can get dandelion seeds of the internet, and then grow them in a plant pot on the window sill during the winter....:red

Dog wee and car exhaust fumes here! If you don't get one, you get the other![]()
I do actually pick dandelions from a nearby field. I wash them when I get home, then they sit in water that's rinsed several times for the duration of the day, then they're washed again before they're given to the pigs.
Just don't pick them anywhere near traffic as the chemicals and stuff in the exhaust fumes is thought to accumulate in the leaves.
