Hi, one of my piggies is malting when I stroke her and she is a little flaky towards her bottom half. Is flaking and malting always a sign of mites? She isn't scratching. Really don't want to have to go to the vets at the moment as we are isolating to stay safe.
Thanks

Hi!

Is the hair loss even over the body or can you see bald areas or strips appearing, especially over the back?

Hi, thanks for replying. No baldness or obvious hair loss apart from when I stroke her there is quite a bit of hair on the mat. She seems to be dandruffy on her rear.

I'm having the same problem. But my guinea pig was treated for mites twice but she still had dandruff on her rear.
