I treated Billy back in August for mites (treated both pigs) as Billy came to live with us & he was very itchy & had a scabby ear.

All cleared up perfectly with xeno450.

At the weekend I noticed Billy has dandruff if I part his fur altho his skin is not red & he doesn't seem particularly itchy. He also has dryness on that ear again. Nothing like it was, but it looks dry.

Called the vet & she suspected possibly mites have popped back but doesn't think it's fungal as it cleared up so well last time.

I have tonight scrubbed cage thrown out toys & treated both boys with xeno450 to be safe.

I'm now not sure if the dandruff is left over from last time or if I'm being paranoid. Is dandruff always mites? I wonder if I'm just being over the top.

I've thrown out the hay tunnel (getting fed up of throwing these out now at £10 a pop ;( can I put a cardboard tube in for them? They look sad without a tunnel... Or would you not bother putting any toys in for now?

The dandruff could just be dry skin but I suppose it's better to be safe than sorry. If they enjoy having a tunnel maybe just get one of those cheap cardboard tubes from Wilkos. :))

I'll get them a temporary cardboard one for now... I'm gong to bath them at weekend maybe I don't know if it's just from before or dry skin...

Their new toys have arrived too from zooplus sale but I'll wait for now to show them, how annoying!
