can pigs get dandruff? iv noticed davids got some small white specks behind his ears just a few, they dont look like they are moving or anything, just looks like human dandruff?

i hope its not the start of a fungal infection grrrrrr.

Cavies can, on occasions, suffer from dry skin. However, regular bathing should help to keep a cavies skin healthy. On the other hand, bathing too often may have the opposite effect. Bathing should not occur more than once a month.

Dandruff can occur - a bit of bepanthen salve or mild aloe vera baby should do the trick. It's not uncommon behind the ears.

However, it's worth if notice a fair amount of dandruff to always check for mites or fungus.

thanks wiebke... i hope to god its not mites or fungus, craig has just recovered from a fungal infection and davids still ill. its getting beyond a joke now.:(

How will i tell if its fungal or lice though as at the moment it just looks like a little few tiny flakes xx
