I have noticed Luigi scratching more than normal and he appears to have flky bits of skin like dandruff. Its all white stuff and I've gone through his fur and cant see anything else in there. what could it be? can you see mites?

Have you bathed him in a while? If you haven't, give him a nice bath in luke warm water with a drop of diluted dish soap, or animal shampoo. If you start to find scabby looking bumps behind his ears or on his belly, take him to the vet, as this might be mites.

It could also be fungal. As above - totally agree, if you're worried see the vet.
