Damonshumanslave

I picked up the 2 piggies this morning!

I have adopted them from a lady who said she couldn't keep them because she was moving. I don't know if she was telling the truth, but I couldnt bear the thought of them ending up somewhere horrible. So now they are mine!

This is the photo of them together that the lady sent to me before I picked them up:

I have re-named them Alex and Dave, after the band Blur.

This is Dave:

And this is Alex hiding. He hasn't come out yet and I don't want to disturb him:

Dave and Damon can obviously smell each other because there's a bit of rumbling and chattering going on. No actual fighting though, so I'm hoping it will settle down. If Damon's presence starts Dave and Alex off fighting, I'll move them. At the moment though, Dave is rumbling back at Damon from across the room, and Alex is just hiding in an igloo.

Aren't they sweet? I love Dave's fur! He's all fuzzy!

They've both got a sticky wet patch above their bottoms. What could this be?

Firstly how old are they, becuase the wet patch may be due to puberty. Hope thye calm down a bit. All the best with your new freinds O0 O0

Thanx!

Dave is 4 months, and Alex is 3 months, apparently! Can't be totally sure though, I'm just going on what the lady told me.

It could be from sitting in their own pee, some boys can be very messy so and so's. I'd just give them a bath see if that helps

Ok. I was going to give them a bath in a couple of days, let them settle first. They've never had a bath before, so they might be quite frightened.

Thanx guys!

I'm so pleased! I think they're lovely!

Dave has fuzzy fur. What breed is he? Does anyone know?

I think Dave is a teddy, he is gorgeous! The sticky patch may be the grease gland? Not sure, but my boys ALWAYS have it, have to give it a good old clean!

They are gorgeous :smitten: i think Alex may be a fox, he looks a bit like Niki's Toddie :smitten: xx

Awww theyre lovely, hope everything goes well O0 :smitten:

Gorgeous, congratulations. :smitten: :smitten:

Thankyou for all the lovely comments!
My new boys are lovely!

The hideaway came with my cage which I got from zooplus.com.

Dave has a small cut on his lip, and it started bleeding when he ate his food. Now it looks really swollen. I'm a bit worried. :(

You're right Emma, was just gonna say Alex is my Toddie's twin

Gorgeous boys  :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Just to add; the sticky wet patch could be their grease glands :)

I think Dave is a rex, Alex a fox :smitten: :smitten:

I can't decide if Dave is a teddy or a rex now! I'm confused!

How do you tell the difference?

Good question ;D ;D

I "think" rex hair is coarse " teddy hair is softer, i'm sure someone will know exactly how you tell :)

I wouldnt say his hair is soft. It feels kind of spikey. And it stands straight up.

I am so glad you got them in the end! I have been watching that ad for a while wondering what would happen well done you!

Thanx Dazie!

I was going to try to rehome them, but now I'm in love with them so I don't think I can!

Awww they look lovely :smitten: :smitten: Not sure if anyone has said this but the sticky wet patch is probably their scent gland. Anyway, congrats on the new arrivals :)
