Dave's bald patch

Now that Dave has a round bald patch on his rear end (all my doing, cleaning him up, he doesn't have bad skin or anything), is there anything I can put on the exposed skin to stop it becoming dry or sore?

I've always used vaseline - it has never irratated my piggie and stopped her from getting urine scold when she was ill.

I've got some vaseline - didn't want to use it if it wasn't safe but I'll apply a bit now. There's one bit of stuff that just isn't budging. Am hoping with a bit of softening it might come off tomorrow!rolleyes

The bit his rear end - are you talking about his grease gland?

If the skin is fine it's more likely to get irritated if you put something on it when you don't need to. Vaseline will stop air getting to the skin so I wouldn't use it.

No, we're above his grease gland - the patch is about the size of a 5p. I've been using a bit of vaseline on his fur to see if I can loosen what remains there...I will leave his skin to breathe and keep an eye on it.
