ive put some neem oil in his fur last night and just bought some Nizoral. I'm gonna give him a bath in a bit and a good comb. I'm gonna go the vets tomozza and get some xeno. Ive checked all the others and they are completly clear, for now but i will dose them all anyway! alltogether unimpressed!

Looks like Fungal to me - I'd bathe him in some Nizoral and depending on the severity - if its bad I'd do it every few days but it not I'd do it once a week as you don't want to dry the skin out too much. Obviously you'll need to pluck out the infected hair as you've done above.

Xeno won't do anything tho - only mange.

aye there due for a xeno anway as there current dose runs out friday so that needs to be done anyway!

Iv just now bathed him after leaving the nizoral on for 10 min and combed again thn rinsed then washed again in gg 4 oil again plucking out hairs. my poor little man. I'm gonna scrub his cage and bin chube! :(

Make sure you leave atleast 48 hours between nizoral and xeno - don' wanna over do it on his little body :)

Thought id add this incase anyone else has the same issue :)
How does it work?

Nizoral shampoo contains the active ingredient ketoconazole, which is a type of medicine called an antifungal. It is used to treat infections with fungi and yeasts.

Ketoconazole kills fungi and yeasts by interfering with their cell membranes. It works by stopping the fungi from producing a substance called ergosterol, which is an essential component of fungal cell membranes. The disruption in production of ergosterol disrupts the fungal cell membrane, causing holes to appear in it.

The cell membranes of fungi are vital for their survival. They keep unwanted substances from entering the cells and stop the contents of the cells from leaking out. As ketoconazole causes holes to appear in the cell membranes, essential constituents of the fungal cells can leak out. This kills the fungi and treats the infection.

Ketoconazole is used to treat a number of different types of fungal and yeast infections. Ketoconazole shampoo is used to treat skin conditions that are caused by infection with the yeast Pityrosporum. These include the skin infection pityriasis versicolor, as well as seborrhoeic dermatitis and dandruff, which is considered to be a mild form of seborrhoeic dermatitis.

Ketoconazole shampoo should be used to wash the affected areas and left for three to five minutes before rinsing. For dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis, the shampoo should be used to wash the hair twice weekly for two to four weeks. Once these conditions have cleared up they can be prevented from coming back by using the shampoo once every one to two weeks.

To treat pityriasis versicolor the shampoo should be used to wash the skin once daily for a maximum of five days. Pityriasis versicolor can often recur in the spring or summer, and the shampoo can also be used to prevent the infection by using it once daily for a maximum of three days, before exposure to sunshine.

I was so surprised to see this thread! :(
You poor girl..........
Sending healing vibes for David and hoping NO MORE rotten fungals in the household! :<>

wheeeeeeeeky loves and nose rubs from us all XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

I'm not happy at all. None of my pigs have ever had fungal, only when they've been dumped on me/adopted :(

Sorry if this sounds daft, but what causes it, thankfully never had a piggie with it.:)

I'm not certain to be honest but id assume it's things like bad conditions ie damp and not bathing and stuff! I know for a fact david got it after i tied to help my mums. Ive been obsessivly checking david since my other two boys have been ill (uti and neded a lump chcking out, both are fine now!) i bathed them all satand gave them a good check and they were all clear. then i go to my mums monday and david has it!
