Morning fellow piggie lovers.. i came down this morning and 1 of my pigs( cookie) has ventured out the bedroom bit of the hutch and hes downstairs! The other pig ( fudge) is showing signs of wanting to go but i think hes scared of the stairs. Shall i leave them or reunite ? I tried to pick up fudge but she ran away

I would just leave Fudge to work it out for himself.
I’d be tempted to leave well alone and see if he can work it out for himself. Sometimes piggies need to take take the first step for themselves. Not all piggies like ramps but if Cookie has worked it out he can show Fudge the way.

I have always left new piggies a few days before even trying to pick them up.
As prey animals their default reaction is always
“ You’re going to eat me!”
Talk to them and sit with them, offer food with your hand and they will come to know you and associate you with good things.
They can still be nervous creatures. My 3 year old Jemimah decided this morning that when I walked past their room I was being a threat so she dived for cover.
I’m sure that later today she’ll be at the bars demanding food and happily letting me stroke her.
They are funny animals.

Adult Guinea Pig
My girls were the same but eventually got downstairs. I had to alter the angle of the ramp and give them a tunnel but they got there. A few veggie bribes helped aswell.
