Google AI says gradually change your pets schedule by 15 minute increments until daylight savings.

We go back November 2. Not wanting to get up at 4:30 for Barrett.

Anyone try this?

Hmm, hopefully if its still dark Truffle will wait until 5am before starting to wheek. As long as I pretend to be asleep we should be OK. I hate the change, it takes me ages to adjust.

No I’ve never tried it with my pets. Hopefully it works for you.

Mine live outside so their feed times change throughout the year anyway depending in when it gets dark
I do not make any specific gradual adjustments for the day clocks are changed though. They’re just fed an hour earlier (or an hour later in spring) .

Breakfast is usually 8am year round.

Dinner is fed just before dark, regardless of what time that may be - so in mid summer it’s 9pm: in mid winter it’s 3.30pm. Currently dinner time is at 5.30.
I don’t make any changes just before the clocks change. So it’ll still be 5.30 for the next week until clocks change then suddenly on the clock change day they’ll be fed at at 4.30 (and then it’ll move earlier and earlier as we lose more light over the coming weeks)

Clocks going forward, in the spring, we usually make no adjustment.

Clocks going back in the winter, I think one year we tried a few days before to stretch to 10mins a day, resulting in 30mins left with before clock change.
Then the next year we realised our piggies tummy clocks run on our routine& noises, so as long as we were making our dinner at the usual time. They used that as the time & we could deal with the clock change in one go!

Changing my wake up time always takes me a week or two.

Here’s a meme for you that’s featured a few times on the forum.

I’m sure the piggies would be happiest if they got all their meals at the appropriate times from both summer time and daylight saving time. That way they'd get double the food 😋

Farming friends of mine don't do a completely abrupt change of milking time when the clocks change. FWIW

My feeding times were pretty chaotic back in the day so I didn't even think about changing anything when the clocks went back or forwards.
