Dealing with a cage mates passing

So my three year old guinea pig just passed due to an eye infection, and my other guinea pig (who is also 3) is acting a bit off. I understand why she is off because these two were very close and grieving is very hard, but I’m wondering if I should adopt another pig. I don’t know if an adult pig and a baby pig of the same gender would work or if she will get hostile towards the New Guinea pig.
