New Born Pup
Just thought I'd stick up a pic of my buddy Deano who died just before Christmas. He was only 8 months old but had always struggled with his breathing a bit and been ill a few times. Despite our best efforts and many trips to the vets, in the end he got what they think was an ear infection.
I took him to the vets straight away when I noticed he wasn't right, holding his head to one side. They gave him antibiotics and other injections (I can't remember everything that they said) and that evening I spent a couple of hours hand feeding him and helping him drink etc. They said they expected him to improve overnight.
Unfortunately the next morning he was not well at all, just lying on his side. I got him ready to go to the vets, knowing what would happen when we got there, but in that short time he went. I hope he knew I tried my best for him and I think he had a happy, albeit short life.
His favourite things were parsley and coriander (though I had to be mean and not give him too much!). He also loved his little blue house. He liked being stroked on his backside and would look after his buddy Monty. Often when we put the food in he'd come out and grab a piece of something, take it to Monty and then come back for more. Oh and he really liked it when we cut him some fresh grass from the garden.
Cheers Deano.
