My husband has built me quite a few hutches over the years and last year he built me three 5ft by 2ft hutches to fit neaty in my guinea pig shed.
That will be it now, I told him ... the last hutch you will be building for many years.

Then along came Milly and Molly so he build me another one ... 4ft by 2ft with an additional window (their patio window) because the side of the hutch faces the window. It is great so they bask in the early morning sun looking out over the garden. They have the best view!

Anyway, with Umbrella coming to live with us permanently now ... I have been extremely nice to my husband (@);)@)) and he has agreed to build another one the same as Milly and Molly's for Umbrella.

:)) You have him wrapped around a certain finger eh! ;) I'm trying to convince hubby to build me a hutch for the shed and so far he has said 'we'll see' which generally means 'ok if I have to' :))

Do you really want an answer? But what a luvverly hubby you have to do this for the piggies. :)
 
Perhaps you should auction him in aid of one of the rescues ......
 
Can I have your hubby talk to my hubby, please?

A new cake recipe (whole and ground almonds with Swiss choc chip) as mellowed my OH only so far towards me adopting two more girls... and having to ask him for a platform and a hut for the new arrivals, please!

I guess a lot of hubbies are in the same boat. They have been told....yes, that's it, dear, no more and then a couple of months down the track they are building some more hutches.

My hubby got to the point where he doesn't believe me when I say that's enough animals now. He knows if there is one in need...I'm there and take it.
 
My OH built me my guinea pig shed and all the pens on his week off work! At the weekend he has put the eletric in the shed. He says he dosent like guinea pigs! I think hes lying!
 
you sound just like me. I'm forever saying i wont get no more, i dont need no more hutches built. but when my partner comes home today, hes going to have a huge shock, i have another british giant rabbit he hasnt seen and 9 more guinea pigs, but 5 of them are babies not old enough to leave their mum and ive found homes for some of them when they are old enough. luckily i had spare hutches but he has got to make me aload of hutches more my baby giant rabbits that are now 10days old but he does know about them. hes going to have a fit but hes lovely and doesnt mind, he just said as long as ive got the room and the time and money to look after them hes fine about it and i dont take on more than i can cope with.
 
My poor hubbys has given up :))

He just says how many and how big do you want them this time :(|):(|):(|)

ROFL Teresa same here although I build thee hutches so he just gets to play with the aniamls no work involved so I can do what I like really but have my own set limits on numbers :red ish! Never more than 60 guineas though. :))
 
I have just asked by OH if he could make me hutch - maybe you could lend me yours aswell and I'd have it finished in half the time!
 
My OH has just made his first hutch! How long do you think I should leave it before asking for another one?
 
Start a row, make out he has done something terrible and needs to do some major sucking up of which another hutch will do the trick, job done instant fix!
 
My partner is in the process of making me a guinea pig table for when they come indoors at night, I didn't even have to ask, she just offered!

We really are very lucky!
