New Born Pup
Debbie R.I.P. (April 2011 to August 16th 2018)
A sad day at the rescue today after Debbie passed away last night. She was such a lovely character and despite having only stumps for bottom teeth & having to have
her top front teeth trimmed every 4 weeks she had very few health issues.
Debbie arrived here in October 2015 having just lost her long time neutered huspig a week earlier. She was in a state of depression all puffed up like a fluffy ball & didn’t want to eat. I skipped the usual quarantine process & put her in with blind girl Hope & her mother Faith. Thankfully they all got on well together & she was soon eating & gaining weight.
The following month Pixie who had just lost her sister & Mitch were added making a group of 5 piggies who got on really well together. The group remained the same until Mitch passed away in November 2016 then neutered boy Storm joined in January 2017.
Sadly Pixie & Storm passed away in May 2017 & young girl, Kizzy joined the remaining 3 for a short time before she was adopted at end of the month. Sadly Hope’s mother Faith passed away in December 2017 leaving just Debbie & Hope.
We had 2 sanctuary males needing friends in early 2018 so Hope joined Lionel & Debbie joined Peanut but sadly peanut passed away in June so Debbie was bonded with Desmond who had just lost his partner too & they were together for the last 2 months of her life.
So from above you can see that for the last 3 years of her life, Debbie led a full & happy life to a ripe old age with plenty of friends by her side.
R.I.P. Debbie you’ve taken a piece of my heart with you & will always be remembered xx
