4 1/2 year old Debbie came into Tees Valey Guinea Pig Rescue just over 2 weeks ago & wasn't feeling good with herself as her lifetime partner had died the previous week. I thought it would be best to miss out on the usual 2 week's quarantine as she seemed to be deeply depressed. I put her with same age blind girl Hope & her 5 year old mother Faith & they've really got on well together. I'm really glad I did this. Debbie will be kept with her 2 companions as sanctuary piggies as she needs regular teeth burring but she's really happy with the other 2 girls & now enjoying a new lease of life. Luckily our vet & the head vet nurse do conscious burring of the incisors so it's a trip there every 3 to 4 weeks. The picture shows from left to right, Faith, Debbie & Hope :) xFaith, Debbie & Hope 2010-10-27.webp

What 3 gorgeous girls! I did the same when my Harley lost his mate he was so depressed so
when I got him a new buddy I skipped quarantine, as Harley had a vets appointment that day so I
took along his new friend and got the vet to give him a full vet check first

Sometimes you've got to do what you feel is right & I can usually see if there's something amiss when I give them a quick health check. It was definitely right in this case :) x
