Deformity In Toe

So....Edgar's what we would call " thumb" has started to curl inwards :( it doesn't seem to affect his walking/popcorning or zoomies and I keep his nails trimmed. Just wondering how many others have this problem and has it got worse?

I don't know why after hitting 14 months it's started growing that way. If it starts to look like it's hindering him a trip to Simon will be needed!
 
Meggy Moo Cow had one of those, it was a little awkward to cut, she came with it amongst other uniqueness... We just kept it short. He hasn't had any trauma to his foot has he? x
 
No nothing at all...why it's worrying me. I noticed it from that photo for advent! He's still running and all that just puzzles me why now....from birth you could understand it more....think I'm going to take him to see Simon after the weekend. He's perfectly typical healthy Edgar apart from that.
 
Linney has toenails that curl outwards (they grow like corkscrews!) They are like that on most of her toes on her front feet. It has gotten more noticeable as she has gotten older (and were not present from birth either, she has straight nails as a baby/adolescent/very young adult.) She is now 6, has crazy nails that are hard to cut, but they have never bothered her at all.
 
An inwards curled outer nail is very normal for older piggies. You can cut safely as far back as to where the twist starts. ;)
 
Maple Moo has that, it's awkward to cut her nails they are so tough!
