My 4.5 year old boar has a delicate problem with his willy & I am, wondering if anyone has dealt with this before or has any advice. ?/

He has impacted anus & when I was cleaning his pouch today I found a couple of lumps round his bottom, which when squeezed gently emptied with no problems (thick white stuff). I then checked his willy & it feels as though he has a 'rod' down the whole of it. I had difficulty checking the end of his willy, although i did eventually manage this - without distress to Jerry.

I am presuming this may be a blocked willy due to hardening of semen, but I am not sure. Has this happened to anyone elses's boar? Does anyone have any suggestions? I want to avoid anything which requires anaesthetic as I don't think he will cope with it, so alternative suggestions will be very much welcomed.

he is, by the way, a happy pig! x) He has gotten used to me prodding & poking his boys bits, although he does tell me what he thinks of it (& me!) every time!

Absolutely NORMAL. What you can feel is the os penis, ie penis bone. This helps during mating.

I don't know about the delicate willy issue but the white stuff you got out round his bottom sounds like glands, I didn't know guinea pigs had glands which emptied like this (cats and dogs do, I believe)

Did the thick white stuff smell really bad? If so it's smegma, or that's what my vet called it.

A few days after my Toddie was neutered i removed a large blob of hardened semen from his penis, i had to give him a bottom bath in warm water (nothing else) to help soften it but it did come away with no problem :)
