I'm not sure if this fits in health & illness support, but does anyone else just get randomly paranoid about waking up to a passed piggie? I'm not sure if its vet time or not but i swear one of my piggies is drinking less water than usual and seems less happy about veggies. Poops are good, still runs around like crazy, just ever so slightly off. Idk if i should wait and see if I'm psyching myself out and overanalyzing behavior, or go because maybe i caught something early 🥲

Sometimes an owner can pick up on things before symptoms firm up. At that stage is usually about watching but not hovering as you can make yourself see something in everything then.

Our advice in this situation is to switch from the routine weekly weight checks and instead weigh daily (first thing each morning). This enables you to more closely monitor hay intake.
If weight is being lost then that is a clear indication something is wrong, step in with syringe feeding and see the vet.
Reduction in water intake from their normal is also a potential warning sign

Piggies can be picky about veg - tastes change, just being fussy etc - but sometimes if they’re being funny about veg it can mean hay intake is already being affected. hay intake tends to reduce first during an illness but because hay intake cannot be gauged by eye, you’d never know they were consuming less whereas you see if veg isn’t being eaten.

I hope your piggy is ok
