I have trained my pigs with a bell, so when I ring the bell they all squeak/squeal with excitement that its time for food. However over the last few weeks if i bang the bowls together its makes a similar noise so they have also become trained to this noise!
So this morning i've not fed them at my usual time because i thought i'd have a little lie in and then i hear one of my pigs bash the other bowl against the other one and what happened? They all squeaked and jumped with excitement :)) and since then they just keep doing it, so i reckon its a hint that there hungry hehe.

Has anyone else trained there pigs to a noise for food? Apart from rustling a bag hehe! x

he he he :) that's great! they've got you under their paws eh!? with me Miss Mabel can hear the fridge door open no matter how quietly I try and do it! the result? wheeeeek wheeeeeek! there's no fooling her! :) x

Sounds like they are now training you to provide food when they make a noise :))

I think they are training me! hehe! They keep looking at me now as if to say "come on then?! Where's our food?" :))

my piggy has trained himself to squeak whenever I open the fridge door. If I dont give him anything he sulks!I'm trying to train myself not to give in to him.....its so hard!

Candyfloss Sherbet's bell ringing is brilliant! With Misty it is any kind of rustle. Now she is on her own she doesn't wheek for as long - her new tactic is little wheeks and then puppy dog eyes. She knows I am powerless! @)@)@)@)

They all have their own trigger sounds! The girls in the front are the same as Misty - any type of bag rustling.

I was cleaning them out the other day and emptying their cage into a bin bag while they were in their run and they must have thought it was the biggest bag of nom's ever, they were running laps popcorning and wheeking like their was no tomorrow, problem was I only fed them 30 mins before!

Sherbet's bell video is so funny and cute,

Pip who died at the beginning of this year would squeak when I said "Pigga, Pigga, Pigga". the pigs I have now think its tea time when it gets dark because the dark nights are drawing in, so they've started going "I CAN'T SEE IT MUST BE TEA TIME"

I just got my pigs a hanging ball that I stuff their favourite food in and it came with a bell...which I took off. I had vision of laying in bed just hearing the bell jingling all night long.

Haha it is sooooo hard not to give in! :P

My boys go mental if I chop anything on the chopping board,, open the fridge or say "anyone want some dinners?"

& if they don't get their bed time carrots at 7.30pm they squeak and squeak and squeak until they get them. It's like they know its 7.30pm! Once I actually had to run to my mam's house to get a carrot because I'd ran out & they wouldn't stop squaeking & looking at me with cute little eyes haha.

There so funny aren't they :) my sisters friend has taught them to ring a bell when they want food. I think mine would just ring it permanently!
