Hello I'm new here but have been a pig parent for 4 years now :)

I had Eric( castrated ) and Erica and Wendy. Eric passed away last week of a respiratory infection - Went the vets multiple times but to no avail. It was hard losing him but I know he had a brilliant life from the moment i rescued him :) Erica now has a dense feeling stomach, I took her the vets for an X-ray and ultrasound and the vet says it isn't pregnancy or cysts and maybe it is just that her GI tract has slowed down due to stress of losing her best friend. I was wondering how I can make her feel more comfortable or how to get the intestines moving food again,

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I don't think she's in pain but her stomach definitely feels different.

Is she pooing at all? Did the vet detect any gas when they did the x-ray? Is she eating?

Welcome to the forum. I'm really sorry you lost Eric.

thanks for the reply :) When she was at the vets for 6 hours they said she only made 2 poo pellets, and no gas, on the X-ray her stomach looked grainy. She's eating normally and to be honest begging for food more than usual. Should I massage her or syringe her something? when i feel her she doesn't squeak in pain. i'm just stuck on what to do

If she is eating normally I don't think you need to syringe feed at this stage. The lack of poos are a worry though so yes massage would be a good idea. Did they give gut stimulants at all?
