Hi All
Just asking for advice about what to look for if you suspect Dental problems?
My 21 piggies are all fine but i wondered what potential dental signs should i be checking for when we do health checks. We routinely weigh and check hair, feet, body and front teeth but i have not had any experience of dental issues. How do you know if they have teeth probs ?
I dont want to miss anything ;)
Thanks

hi hel its normally slanted front teeth, weightloss and lots of ear wagging when eating difficulty in eating looks like some thing stuck in the mouth=opening the mouth wide like its stuck,or even food falling out of the mouth and taking a long time to eat something small like carrot x

Claire's filled you in mostly but will just reiterate. rolleyes

Best thing you can do to prevent, aside from a proper diet which include mucho hay, is vigilence. Watch them all eating, and weigh them routinely - at least once every two weeks. If anyone seems to be struggling or seems to be losing weight (week after week) then you can watch them more closely.
