Hi does anyone live near Widnes Cheshire or that area that know of a good dental vet. My guinea has had 4 lots of filing done and each time it seems to take a bit longer to get the teeth right again for her to eat normal. The vet I use is great but isn't exotic but up to now he has managed to sort her each visit. Her teeth grow at bad angels so as it's going to be an on going thing I thought I should start looking for someone with more experience. Is it only a vet who can do this work? I know there are some great dental vets over the country but traveling far isn't a option due to family health.

Would Northampton be too far for you to travel? Simon Maddock at the Cat and Rabbit Care Clinic has lots of experience and a great reputation for looking after dental piggies (although he is on holiday right now). Only other thing I can suggest is to look on the Vet Locator on the green bar at the top of the page.

Yes all the vets on the locator are recommended by forum members.

Cheshirepet in Holmes Chapel. They are an exotic vet and I trust them whole heartedly with my guinea pigs.

Try Cheshire Pet in Holmes Chapel. Kristina is the exotics vet there and I trust her with my piggies. Emily provides exotics cover on a Monday when Kristina doesn't work and she is also excellent.
Whereabouts in Cheshire are you? The vet practice is about 1.5 - 2 miles in a straight road from J18 of the M6.

Hi I'm between Warrington and liverpool. I noticed there was one listed village vets in Liverpool or just outside which is close. Does Cheshire vet do teeth without GA ? That's what I need to keep her teeth as good as possible and reduce all these meds she has been on for so long. Thanks for your help everyone

Molly Varga works at Rutland House in St Helens, she’s one of the leading exotic specialists. I would be between that or Cheshirepet definitely. It’s worth giving the chosen one a call to discuss further

I very much doubt you will find a vet who will do the teeth without GA. Simon Maddock is pretty much the only one in the UK, which is why so many people travel to him.
