Does anyone know of any vets in Kent or South East London (even 50 mile radius of Kent), that check teeth without anaesthesia. Thanks.

Hi!

Most guinea pig vets can give pigs teeth a quick checkover without the need for anesthesia, but it isn't as thorough.

There is a veterinary locator on the forum for recommended piggy savvy vets- this may be an idea?

There is the Cat and Rabbit Clinic In Northampton, that do alot of conscious dental work. I dont know if this is an option with distance? I will tag @furryfriends (TEAS) for you who has excellent knowledge with dental issues.

All the best

There is only one vet I would recommend and that is Simon Maddock of the Cat and Rabbit Care Clinic in Northampton. He is the very reason that TEAS exists. People travel the length and breadth of the country to come to him as he has over 10 years of experience of dealing with dental disease in guinea pigs and the results he gets are amazing. He carries out dental work without the need for GA. www.catandrabbit.co.uk

Hi,
I checked the vet page before, and I saw my vet on there, but they still use anaesthetic. I think I'll try April Lodge in Kent, although I know TEAs, and am happy to travel to them if no joy.
Thanks so much.

Hi,
Yes, have met Simon via Debbie with a friend's piggies.
I don't need anyone at the moment, but fir future reference. April Lodge in Kent are brilliant, so will carry on with them as they're nearer.
Thanks ever so much for the advice.
