So I have (had) 3 piggies. A senior, Bubbles, an Adult, Atticus, and A youngin, Midas. Midas became part of the family 3 months ago, and after they figured out who was dominant he became best buds with Atticus. Bubbles was kind of a third wheel but he didn't seem to care. Atticus passed away a few days ago, Midas hasn't really come out of his hut. When I found Atticus dead in the cage, Midas was right next to him. Could Midas be feeling lonely even though bubbles is still in the cage? Should I consider adopting another piggie and see if things work out? He is eating and drinking, but he is usually very active and hasn't been since Atticus passed. (That's Bubbles eating at the bowl and Midas inside the hut)Snapchat-647479825.webp

Give him time to grieve.
Piggies do grieve in their own way.
Allow some time for Bubbles and Midas to work out their relationship as a pair before you panic.

Forum members who have more experience with bonding boars will probably have some good advice to share.

It’s great that you are thinking of Midas’ needs while you are still grieving for Atticus yourself.

Hi! I am very sorry for your loss! You are welcome to post a tribute to Atticus in our Rainbow Bridge section if you'd like to.

Give Midas time to grieve, but make sure that he is eating and not pining acutely. He should come out more in a few days' time.
