Since falling out with my friend who used to come and feed the guinea pigs when we go on holiday, that is not possible anymore.
I was wondering if there is anyone in derby that offers to come and feed the girls whilst we go on holiday, nothing planned at the moment. It is usually five days anyway if we do go anywhere.

We could ask a neighbour but we need a backup plan, and we are reluctant to put them in boarding as they would prefer to be left in their home.

Thanks.

I can understand why you'd sooner keep them at home and I hope you find someone you can trust.

In case you struggle finding a sitter, it may be worth having a look at places that do boarding. I am not sure what part of Derby you live in . A forum member has recommended Wheekaway in Ripley

They say about the choices of bedding. One of which is vet bed, the others are hay and I forget the other.
The girls are currently on fleece. If they were to go there, do you think the vetbed would be much change for them?

if your Guineas are used to being on fleece - I'm sure vetbed would be fine. - Ask them how they launder it though as it will need to be a 60 degree wash to kill germs .

I run rodentopia and i use bedding of owners choice so if you use fleece they are kept on fleece. I wash all mine on hygeine wash at 60 degrees and all cages are cleaned with F10. I keep the piggies in my house so they get attention all the time.
