Describe Your Piggie!

I thought i would start this thread so we can get to know your piggies a little more!

So post a picture of one or all your guinea pigs describing their personality, favorite and least favorite thing to eat!

Here are mines:

Lucas: He is definitely the boss! The first piggy ive ever owned! He doesnt like being handle too much and he is super hyper! always running around the cage and getting into trouble. Escaped the cage once and always looking for a way to escape now! So we had to make our cage Lucas proof lol.

Favorite food: He is defintely a picky eater and loves carrots of course!

Least Favorite food: He dislike fruits! We have tried different type of fruits and he usually bites a little bit off and then leaves it.



Elvis:
My fat boy lol this boy can eat! He is the sweetest out of all my piggies, he lets me pick him up with no problem. He is super shy until he sees food, then he becomes the most outgoing boy ever!

Favorite Food: He loves carrots just like Lucas, he loves Hay as well, when i cant find him i just have to look at the kitchen area and I'm sure he will be there munching on hay.

Least Favorite Food: Not a big fan of apples.



There is no toy or box safe when this boy is around! here is proof!




Jlo: My poor girl went through so much before i got her, two pregnancies, small cage, no a healthy diet etc... so I'm glad she is with us now. Because of everything she went through she is too sociable and hates being picked up. She is warming up to us little by little. She is absolutely beautiful and we love her color! She is also very brave, most of my piggies if they hear a big noise or something, they run to hide, but she usually just stays there trying to figure out whats happening.

Favorite Food: My eating machine! this lovely lady eats way more than Elvis! She will literally eat anything, all the veggies that they boys leave and dont want any more ill put it in her cage and she will eat that too. So no food is wasted in my house with Jlo, thats for sure!

Least favorite food: Carrots arent her favorite, but she will still eat it after she eats everything else and have nothing left to eat lol.

Zoe:
This pretty girl was born in our home November 8th of this year. She is Jlo's daughter! She has become super friendly since we try to play with her and handle her a lot so she can become familiar with us! She absolutely loves me but dislike my wife! i dont know what it is lol but every time my wife gets close to the cage Zoe runs for her life! But she will let me pick her up with no problem. I think she knows I'm the one that feeds her lol It is so adorable seeing her little self pop-corning in the cage.

Favorite food: Well just like her mama Jlo, this baby girl will eat anything! when i mean anything i mean that. She has eaten everything i have put in her cage since she was born lol

Least Favorite Food: Did i mention that she will eat ANYTHING?

Cuddles: My shy girl! She loves my bed, and will snuggle with me all day if I let her! She has very fast-growing hair, and is a little princess!

I thought about doing a thread like this! Here’s ours I unfortunately don’t have individual pictures of everyone!
Jameson:
Jameson is our first boy in many years, hint the pink tunnel and girly fleece. He just came to us last week. He was given to us from someone who thought she had 2 girls and was housing him in a 10 gallon tank. He is a bit skittish but warming up to us more everyday. Loves and I mean loves to chew on the cage bars for treats lol.
Favorite food: Cilantro
Least Favorite Food: Nothing

Nora (black and tan on the left):
Nora has been with us since this year in April when we got back into piggies. She is our sassy piggy, always talking back at me. She doesn’t mind being picked up but would rather we just pet her in the cage. We got her in Pittsburgh with her sister Sylvia. They were returned to the store when the college semester ended. Don’t tell the others but she’s moms favorite.
Favorite Food: Green leaf lettuce
Least Favorite Food: Anything that isn’t green leaf lettuce or green bell peppers

Beatrice (white and brown on the right):
Beatrice came with her sisters Elaine and Josephine from the shelter. We don’t know much about their past. She is the most social of our piggies. You can do whatever you want with her and she doesn’t care lol. Beatrice is Nora’s buddy and they can almost always be found together. She is my husbands favorite. Beatrice always runs up to the edge of the cage for pets or a treat.
Favorite Food: Anything lol
Least Favorite Food: Nothing

Elaine (chocolate brown with the white nose on the left):
Elaine is the peacemaker of our group. Always getting between the herd if there is conflict. She is an extremely heavy sleeper. There have been times when I’ve thought she’s passed on because of how heavy she sleeps lol! She very much enjoys climbing in all of the hay bags to eat the hay that is at the top.
Favorite Food: Everything. This includes object that shouldn’t be eaten such as fleece, bath mats, hair, fingers and anything she can put in her mouth
Least Favorite Food: Absolutely nothing

Josephine (black and white piggy standing on the bathmat on the left):
Josephine aka Groucho is the leader of our herd. She has substituted normal walking for constant rumbling. The fleece forest is hers and she guards it all day lol. She keeps the girls in order nicely and is a very dominant piggy. She hates being picked up and will tell you off if you are late with her veggies. Also hates when you sneeze
Favorite Food: Any lettuce
Least Favorite Food: Carrots

Penelope:
Penelope is the baby of our group. She came to us about a month ago from a high schooler who didn’t realize how much care Guinea Pigs truly need. She is the second most social of the group but doesn’t really care for being picked up. She loves to run laps around the cage and annoy all her cage mates with her copious amounts of energy lol.
Favorite Food: All veggies except bell peppers
Least Favorite Food: Bell Peppers

Sylvia (on the right):
Sylvia is the shyest of our piggies. She does not enjoy being pet or held but will come to you for treats. She is the bottom totem pole of the herd and prefers to spend most of her day in the hay pile or hiding in one of the fleece tunnels. She’s also the quietest of all of our piggies only talking when veggies are really late.
Favorite Food: Green Bell Peppers
Least Favorite Food: Celery and Parsley

I have two sows Patchy & Coco who are about a year old.

Coco:
She's pretty shy but is also a pretty mellow piggy but she hasn't always been like that she was really really naughty when she was a baby but now prefers to chill out pretty much anywhere she finds comfortable especially if her mummy (that's me) makes a tunnel, she looooooves tunnels. She is the giant of the two.

Fav Food: If it's food then it's her favourite but her fav fav favourite is coriander.

Least Fav Food: N/A



Patchy
Patchy is the more sociable and lovely natured of the two until she is in season and then she's a grumpy little terror. She is very petite but can stretch out to the length and width of a pencil. She is always on the go and must be zooming and popcorning around and generally enjoying life. Named Patchy because of her patchy colouring and patchy face. A bit more fussy in the food department than her sister but not by much.


Fav Food: Coriander and lettuce.

Least Fav Food: Mint this month but next month it will be her fav. She wont't eat celery if it's hand fed but likes it when it's just chucked in the cage.

From the left:
Keziah - doesn’t like being picked up or cuddled but loves to sit beside on the floor to be stroked. Also thinks head butting me is a good game.
Merab in the middle, mother of the group, placid , laid back, always looks bemused by life.
Jemimah- cute, cuddly, affectionate, absolutely adorable.
Favourite foods - spinach & chicory, cucumber, parsley, and pretty much everything else.
Least favourite- depends what day it is. Today we don’t like carrot but tomorrow we want lots of carrots!
