I know Ellie didnt have any bad side effects with hers. But its a different drug than she had. Can u ask the vet or see if any paperwork says that callies meds may cause diarrhea?

Think I would do as you have done &cut back on the lettuce etc for a couple of days. Just make sure she keeps hydrated though. Do you have any fibreplex or probiotics that may help to settle her stomach a bit. Or it could just be due to the elevated stress levels of vets &trip etc. Make sure she has plenty of hay &introduce greens or veg back slowly.
Hopefully its just the excitement of the trip.
Let her eat nuggets too at the moment, anything to keep the gut moving properly.

Fingers crossed &give it a day or two to settle. If no joy go back &check with the vet see if they have any experience of this.

Xx

Thank you for always replying. I'm wondering if it was because I accidently bought rabbit food and had to stick with it for a few days (I got her proper food today. The ingredients were almost identical aside from less vit. C.) I switched her back today right before I had to leave for work so fingers crossed it gets better. I have noticed her bum has been red. It almost looks like a tiny bit of blood. When we go back to Toronto she gets an ultrasound so I'll have them check for any abnormalities in her tummy. I will also ask for more information about this drug. I was in shock last time I went. I didn't think she'd actually have the injection that day.

So a little worrisome, Callies sides have gotten very large and she's gone from weight 1.14lbs to 1.24lbs. She has been eating a lot more but it's just the sides of her tummy are getting big but no where else is. She seems to be growing a bit of hair back and she seemed to be getting better but I'm not sure. The next trip to Toronto is next week on the 28th. Should I be worried and freaking out and trying to find a proper vet?

I would have her checked to make sure her cysts havent ballooned as this could be a possibility. If you dont think the vet is competant enough with treating or for a potential spay then id definately seek a cavvy savvy vet x

I weighed her again today and she's gone back down to her normal weight which is a good thing but I'm sill confused as to why her tummy was so bulbous.

So, I'm going to go ahead and say that the lupron injection has been working. A bit. I don't think it's a miracle drug or anything but I think it's helping a little bit. She's growing some hair back (although still pulling at other spots.) She's a lot more like herself and she's not as fussy of an eater. She's staying at the same weight and still boney but it's an improvement and I'll take anything I can get. She's got another appointment this Saturday. Another ultrasound will be taken.

Any slight step forward is good. Hoping she continues to improve xx

Ahh that's wonderful news
So glad she's doing well :)

Ovarian cysts are apparently very painful, so that might be part of the reason for her not eating as much &losing weight.

Its great the injections worked. Her coat looks nice &glossy too :-D
