Ellen has IC and she also had diabetes that we stabalised through diet.

The last time Ellen had metacam, her glucose levels shot through the roof so she didn't have it again.

However, after speaking with an exotic specialist who says the metacam wouldn't have been responsible for that, both my vet and the exotic vet have advised me to give Ellen a small dose of metacam daily for her IC.

I'm just worried about it bringing her diabetes back or something. Does anyone know if it will be safe to give her the metacam?

Emma had a daily dose of metacam for her IC and it really helped her.

Please give Ellen the metacam as advised. If she really gets acute diabetes again, please contact your vet. Hopefully that won't be the case on just a low dose. And please also keep in mind that Ellen has only had mild diabetes, which you have got easily under control again so far. ;)
