What caues diarrhoea in piggies ? As you know I lost my little man this morning, I'm now thinking is it somthing I gave him to make him so ill :'(

I'm not sure Karen, it has been know that some foods just dont agree with some pigs but i've never heard of food causing something as serious as you describe :( its usually just a bit of runny poo i think. I do know Julie (Boureki) and Marty lost two of theirs to sudden diorhea and they dont know what caused it, it may be worth giving her a pm to see if she can shed any light. Dont blame yourself, i really doubt it was anything you could have helped and i dont think a food disagreeing with him would cause so much damage :( really sorry x

I don't think any food you gave him could have caused the symptons that flopy had, not to that extent anyway.Don't blame yourself you did all you could for the little guy x

Please don't beat yourself up. ((((( hugs )))))
I don't think food would have been the problem.
You did everthing you could, getting Flopy to the vets so quickly.
So very sorry. :'(

I also don't think food would have caused the death of a pig. Maybe some kind of bacteria? Was Flopy ok yesterday? They hide it well though! Have a look on Guinea Lynx they may have some answers and look through the forums they have loads of illnesses related posts so may help. I know I done this when we lost Cuzzy to try and make sense of what happpened.

x

It may have been a bacterial infection,or,quite possibly renal failure.

Do not blame yourself there is nothing you could have done.
