Diet

Their main proportion of their daily diet is unlimited amounts of hay, refreshed a couple of times a day.
They can have One cup of veg per pig per day. The four safe veg they can be given every day are lettuce (not iceberg), cucumber, bell pepper and cilantro/coriander.
They can have one tablespoon of plain guinea pig pellets per pig per day.
Water should be filtered

Any other veg should be given in moderation and rotation. High calcium items should not be given more than once a week. High calcium intake can result in bladder sludge and stones. Most calcium comes into the diet via pellets and drinking water (in hard water areas), so while high calcium veg does need to be kept limited, it’s very important to ensure you never overfeed pellets.
Fruit or carrot should only be a very occasional treat. The sugars and acidity (which can risk a lip infection called cheilitis) of fruit are not good for them
