Hello, i have two male guinea pigs, they are both quite young and i've only had them for just over a month now, but there my first guinea pigs.

One of my guinea pigs is alot bigger than the other, weight wise, I'm not sure on there age as they could have been anywhere between 10 and 16 weeks when we got them, the pet store isn't sure, but basically I'm going to weigh them soon when i can get my hands on some scales, but on average how much should they weigh? and how can i get one to loose weight without the other one getting less food.

They have a bowl of pellet food in there cage wich they normally get through every 3 sometimes 4 days, they get one bowl of fresh veggies everyday normally a mix of Lettuce (not iceberg) cucumber and pepper occasionally broccoli and a small amount of carrot when available, at about 9pm, and they have fresh hay available at all times.

Please if anyone has any advice i'd greatly appreciate it :)

Sounds like your caring for them well.

Unfortunatly piggies weight isnt really a gauge of there health. At there age your boys should still be putting on weight weekly. The only way to monitor there health is weighing them weekly.

Sounds like there diet is good, so as long as both piggies are eating (ie the smaller one isnt being bullier away from his food) then the weight difference isnt a problem. :)
