i'm finding it quite fascinating to watch how maisie (age 5 ish) and eddie (age 1 ish) are interracting together.

with ches (age 6 ish) and maisie, there was only a year or so age gap and they were very much the loved up couple. x)

maisie and eddie are like auntie and pup kind of relationship. very different but very sweet. x)x)

what are your pairs/groups relationships like, age gaps etc? :)

It's crazy the dynamics isn't? Has Crazy Eddie made Maisie more active?

i find it all fascinating. :)

:)) eddie has been great for maisie's exercise regime! he has calmed down now but he is still so happy. and he adores maisie so much. x) it's lovely because he has taught maisie to be braver and more playful, and he copies her aswell. she looks so proud of him. x)

they have such a nice friendship and if you see maisie, then you know eddie will be right behind following. :))

the other night maisie was curled in one corner asleep and eddie was right beside her, his face practically snuggled into her tummy. x)x)x)

Awww bless them. I am so glad she is once again happy.

It has been so interesting to watch Cookies new friendship with Vimto and Sarsa this week. They are around 6 and 8 months ,while Cookie is over 3 years so they are very spritely around her. She seems to enjoy their energy and will join in the laps. She is turn is making them less scared of us and they will follow her over to the bars at tea time.

This is like Star (3 going on 4) with Astro (about 2) and twinkle and cosmos (both roughly 1). Star is like a middle aged hooligan with the younger ones, looking for mischief where possible.

Misty is the oldest girl at 7 1/2 yrs and she is the most bossy and badlly behaved pig. She's smallest (890g) and she wheeks at the other girls if they try and eat anything before her. She likes to try and stand on Peaches if there's food coming, so she can get to it first. They both love her though. She will flop out and have a nap in the midde of the cage and Peaches or Bella will come and snuggle up. (:

I love hearing about all the different dynamics. I will comment about my girls whe I can get to the computer.

3 1/2 year old Dizzy never stopped trying to teach her ca 12 months old toy boy Llewelyn proper manners, but she also cuddled him all the time; Llewi simply worshipped her. She made it very clear to me that he was hers and not mine - and that she wasn't into sharing! After she'd passed away aged 5, Llewelyn became the patriarch around which I built my Tribe.

Llewelyn's successor Hywel was younger than most of his ladies, but he was dominant enough to take over the top spot from the start (which is the reason why I'd chosen him). He had to learn "on the job" that that didn't just mean all the perks but also some major responsibilities!

Young Terfel was just so delighted when he met my two formidable middle aged cataract ladies that he was popcorning all the time! It took a couple of seasons until he figured out from which end to do the job... But over time, he has grown into a master diplomat who was pivotal in bonding a very bristly Mali into his group. I loved how protective he was of Taffy and how he showed Mali what was acceptable behviour and what not without it ever ending in a fight.

5 year old widower Bryn Oscar, who came to live with my frail and older ladies, is no longer so much into the chasing, but he loves to mug his wives at dinner time and snuggle up with them at night. He is certainly enjoying a new lease of life!

I find the ever changing group dynamics fascinating, as sows come up through the ranks (or not) in my big group depending on their personality, ambition and clout.

We can see a book deal soon... " Wiebke " ... Fantastic reading.. x

I have Rosie (7), Esme(3), Ruby (1.5) and Tia(1). Since having the gingers Rosie is much more active, she has reduced mobility anyway but is now so much more interested in getting around.
Interestingly, Ruby and Tia are the two that get along the least and are the most timid. Ruby is quite a dominant pig, so seasons are fun and Tia gets the brunt of it. Tia also has very strong seasons and spends most of the time chasing poor Rosie. Out of my four Rosie the oldest, and Tia the youngest get along very very well , they can often be found snuggled up together ( when Tia isn't bouncing on Rosies head in the cosy) Ruby and Esme get along fairly well, but being big pigs both like their own space but do on occasion sleep next to each other.
Rosie just tries to be friends with everyone and doesn't want to miss out and doesn't give up food easy
Sorry if this is a bit disjointed, posting from ny phone.
