I currently feed my piggies Wagg Guinea Pig crunch which is usually about £2 for a 2kg bag, the only problem is they leave the oats and only eat the small brown bits if I forget to fill their bowl up.
What is the best food for them so they aren't "picky eaters"?
Are pellets better than mixed dried food?

Generally, pellets are better, but you may want to try out different varieties and see which ones your piggies like best? Some internet places even sell taster packs, I think.

I'd like it so there wasn't a lot of food wasted (like the guinea pig crunch), how much are pellets compared with the mixed foods?

My pigs have always had Pets at Home nuggets, but recently tried Burgess blackcurrant and oregano nuggets which they seem to love!
