I'm thinking of getting another pair of boys and want to know if its ok to use the same run as I do for Peanut and Crumpet? It's all indoors & they wouldn't be in it at the same time, I just don't know if they'll be ok with the smell of other piggies?

I use the same runs/ swap them around for my piggies. I've got a very long run which the boys usually have, but they alternate with tabby on different days for the smaller square run :) I've had no problems and mine has washproof fabric on the bottom on the run to stop them chewing :)

I have a fleece bottom, don't know how much difference that would make

Can you not change the fleece bottom depending on what pair you put in the run? I dont use the same vetbed/fleece with my pairs as this would lead to my two boars rumblestrutting!

Yea its an all in one liner and cost too much to get another. Thats what I was worried about

Shouldn't be a big problem. My two pairs of boars both use the living room as their run and there is never any argument!

I put my boars in the same cage when cleaning out their main cage. One pair at a time of course.

They seem fine with it and only Gilbert seems curious out of them all sniffing around and then curling up and snoozing while I clean.

That's good to know :)

I'm interested to hear about runs and liners for indoors as my guineas have now migrated indoors and an indoor run sounds a great idea. I've seen a couple, but was wondering about the liners, do they actually fit on to the runs and presumably they are washable?! Can you tell me a bit more about what you have please? Seen a couple advertised but would like some expert advice before I buy one, and also any good makes and sources if you are allowed to post them. Thanks!

Yea I have 2 of these [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Trixie-Joy-Indoor-Run-Elements/dp/B000V9KIU2 that is made into one big rectangle and cable tied together so it's permanent. That is one thing about them, if they're going to be up all the time it needs to be cable tied as its a right pain to move in one piece otherwise. I have this sitting on top of a fleece liner that is waterproof and washable made by Cosy Cavies. If you're in the UK then http://ukpetsonline.com/"]Trixie Joy Indoor Run, 34 ? 23 cm, 8 Elements: Amazon.co.uk: Pet Supplies[/ame] do good runs that can be put indoors if you wanted to. I didn't go for these only because they're quite tall and I wanted to be able to step in (I'm really short!)

Thank you for that, I'm short too! They look good, I've seen one on Amazon that has a base that can be attached and washed as they will at times be on carpet. No idea what my husband is going to say when he sees it, but it was his idea that they stay indoors with us and he's hooked on them now, although he is very rude about them and says they are thick!
