Hello!
Jimmy has always sounded the same since we got him, however he sounds much more nasally than our other pig. He makes the same noises and is generally higher pitch than our other pig when food is around etc. He’s fine in all other respects, he’s a good weight, eats and poops fine, and is active. He also seems to have no problem breathing and he does chaotic consistent zoomies for about 30 mins every night!
I’d never considered before that some pigs just sound different to others? Is this the case, or is there likely something wrong with his nose/chest?
Thanks :)

Guinea pigs have very much different voices like us humans, each is unique; some you don't have to see to know who is wheeking.
As long as the voice is consistent, there is likely nothing wrong with it. If it suddenly changes, then there may be a problem.

However, if you worry about a potential health issue without any change, then I would recommend a regular annual vet health check once non-urgent clients are being seen again.

All my piggies have different “voices”. I only worry if there’s a change in tone. But I can determine who’s wheeking from anywhere in the house as they all sound different.
