Good thing they are getting it removed. Hope everything goes well!We are just back from the vets and Digby is already eating his tea, couldn't give a monkeys! He had lots of cuddled from the pets at home staff and then the vet staff, a very popular boy! They couldn't get over how big and laid back he was.
Anyway, down to the lump! The vet is 100% sure what it is, but thinks it is highly likely to be a cyst of fatty lump. She's had a good look at it and it doesn't have any head or wounds near it to be thinking abscess. It's first but movable and not attached to anything underneath, just the skin on top. He's booked in for next Thursday (after Easter) to have it removed but we are on strict watch for any changes. If it does change or grow at all he will go straight in to have it removed then. We don't think it is anything sinister but when it gets removed it will be sent to the lab for testing.
Digby was a model patient and as it isn't causing him any trouble or pain at the moment he's not been given any meds. I have opted to have it removed on the vets advice as it is on the lowest part of his stomach and I don't want it to get cut or rubbed. Plus having it removed when it is small is better than seeing if it grows any than it ending up being a bigger surgery.
Thank you for your thoughts everyone, Digby and I really do appreciate it, you really all are my second family. I will keep everyone up to date on his progress!
