I have a bit of a dilemma
Three out of my group are really slow eaters when it comes to vegetables
Three question or Trixie Bella and Donna
I didn't want to separate them because the babies were bonding but I did used to solitary feed Trixie on her own her bitch because she's really slow and I haven't been able to do that for the last week will feed the little ones on the run for the last week because they've been bonding so I didn't want to break the process up
But I noticed the other day when I was taking them all out for Kates cleaning the belladonna and Trixie have all lost weight
Any ideas/suggestions as to what I can give them to put weight on them?
A bit of a loss
:(
I was just thinking about getting some oat hay to feed the three of them on the Rhône with the any other ideas would be gratefully appreciated
❤️ X

One of my youngsters is lighter than the other two but as long as they are eating? Always have lots of fresh hay at hand anyway so even if not eating enough veg they should be ok.
Has she lost quite a bit of weight?
Could give some Fibreplex if substantial weight loss?

Pets At Home do you oxbow okay which I thought about giving the three of them to put weight on because are used to give Chock porridge when he lost weight after my guy dog retired because she was his mum

The babies just feel really small and really thin like I can feel the skeletons which surely is not normal

Please don't feed foods solely to make them gain weight - oats etc. These foods should only be used in emergency situations where it means you are trying to keep a piggy alive or gain weight so they can manage an operation. They should not be used as supplements for an ongoing basis.

The weight loss could be normal as the girls need to figure out that they have to get in and eat earlier if they are going to get a share. This should even out as they get used to the dynamics. Weight loss is only a concern if it is pronounced or ongoing. As Vicki says, what weight loss are you noticing (in grams rather than from feeling)?

p.s. I would also not feed on the Rhone as piggies don't swim :lol!:
