I have noticed that my piggies wee is really calciumy (nice technical name there! lol) as when they wee they are leaving white chalky stains everywhee. I dont want them getting bladder stones so trying to work out what they are having is high in calcium.

My boys are very fussy so i can only give them certain things every day, they range from

Dill (which they have ALOT of - could this be it)
Cos or romaine lettuce
pointed cabbage
carrot (small amounts every other day)
pea pods which they dont really eat much of

I give them other things but they are once or twice a week as know bad for them or high in calcium but i cant work out what it is they are having every day that giving them this wee!

they are on excel pellets and have naturals herb treats, gingko and that every day too in a little bowl.

can any you guys help?

Yes dill is a high source of calcium, as is cabbage so if you cut those down the wee should look less milky...shame if they love it so much! Have you tried basil? I give mine mint, dill and basil each once a week!

Found this link:interesting!

Are all herbs high in calcium?

I've noticed some white spots on my fleece too but they don't have dill, what other foods are high in calcuim? They probably have cabbage once/twice a week.

i know parsley is, so they only get small amount of this.

I know there is a site, i'l see if i can find the link!

THANK YOU EMILY for this thread as I didn't realise until now that milky wee is a sign of piggy having too much calcium @) Mine have it sometimes but they kind of do a milky wee followed by normal wee's. Does this mean that when they have a milky wee, they've had too much calcium?

if when they wee there is a white powdery resdiue left on the fleece, blanket, newspaper, then they are getting too much calcium yes!
